Ethos, Pathos, Logos and Financial Literacy

Published March 4, 22

As parents, you want the best resources to teach your child financial literacy. With all the clutter on the internet, it is hard to identify which resources to trust. I say you go with Aristotle’s way!

Ethos

This is the element of established credibility. Look into the company/individual providing the resource. Are they a credible source? You can gauge this by looking at their reviews, the background of study/field of expertise of the creators and so on.

Pathos

This is the element of emotional connection. Is there a sense of purpose behind the company? What does financial literacy for kids mean to them? This is an important factor that parents should account for.

Logos

This is the element of reason; logic. Make sure to do your due diligence by going over all the resources. Your children are in their prime years of cognitive development. Is this the right information for them to be absorbing?

Where does MoneyPrep stand?

The MoneyPrep program incorporates all the above elements! Our parents, teachers, and students trust and regularly use all our resources.
